Tanforan Racetrack was the...Related cinema trivia:<br /><br />Tanforan Racetrack was the setting for scenes of Frank Capra's film BROADWAY BILL (1934) and its musical remake RIDING HIGH (1950, also by Capra, starring Bing Crosby).<br /><br />(Although someone once mistakenly told me that Stanley Kubrick's film THE KILLING (1956) was also filmed at Tanforan, that picture was actually set just down the Peninsula at the former Bay Meadows racetrack in San Mateo).<br /><br />A certain racehorse named Seabiscuit (star of a 2003 film, the name of which is eluding me ...) often raced, and for a time was quartered, at Tanforan.
